Dr. Richard A. Craig

Dr. Richard Craig is a general dentist, who graduated from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. He also completed his internship in Hospital Dentistry at University of Chicago. Dr. Craig has been practicing dentistry for 34 yrs. He founded Shorewood Family Dental Care 32 yrs ago. Dr. Craig is a member of American Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine & American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He has studied under the world’s leading experts in Dental Sleep Medicine. He invented and holds patents on several infection control products. Dr. Craig has written multiple articles on infection control. He has been a consultant for OSHA, CDC, FDA and the United States Military. In addition, Dr. Craig has appeared on several local, national and international television and radio programs to speak about his work on infection control.

Melaney Craig

Melaney Craig has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Melaney specialized in working with patient’s who struggled with Depression, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, Motivation and Goal Achievement. She states, “Sleep Apnea is a powerful disease which can slowly and unknowingly contaminate every area of your life and begin to destroy it. People suffering from the disease can find themselves in the midst of serious health problems, employment problems and relationships problems”.

Melaney is thrilled to be a member of the team at Midwest Dental Sleep Center. She states, “I believe that oral appliance therapy is a wonderful alternative to CPAP and surgery. It’s effective and our patient’s don’t mind wearing it. Our center is providing excellent patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and changing lives.”
